I’ve always liked that line. It’s from the 59th Street Bridge Song by Paul Simon. Feelin’ Groovy to most people. I have to try and listen to those words every once in awhile. I worked full time (and then some) for more than thirty years. I retired 6 years ago with the idea that I could slow down and take life easy for once. I find my time taken up by so many things now that I wonder how I ever found time to work all those years. I used to find time to sit down and listen to a whole album (those big round vinyl things) maybe spark one up and just relax. I miss those days. I think a lot of it has to do with my age. I’m beginning to realize that some day I won’t have a choice and I’ll have to slow down. I guess I’m just trying to get things done while I can. It just seems messed up to me.
