I’m glad to see 2008 go but the fact that it is a new year does not really change things. The economy is still in the tank, Young men and women are still dying in far off lands. My house is still crowded.

Thankfully it also means some good things have not changed. I’m still alive, healthy and married to my lovely Sharlene. I have two great kids and two wonderful grandkids, my Lord still looks over me and the sun still rises in the east and sets in the west.

There will be changes this year, I’m sure. I always have new things to learn. I have to keep growing in mind, body and spirit.
